What is the fine for not keeping records of your WEEE management

If you fail to comply with the regulations you may face criminal prosecution.

The penalties imposed for failing to keep to the regulations are fines and these will reflect the severity of the offence.

Magistrates court: maximum fine £5,000.

Crown Court: unlimited.

What this means is that small errors in paperwork can be managed by a Magistrates Court and they can administer quick and painful fines of up to £5000.

If you are a large organisation and do not manage your WEEE correctly the fines have no ceiling!
