How Donald Trump’s policies may affect the environment and the disposal of e-waste?

Rex Tillerson – the wild card diplomat and ex-top brass of ExxonMobil is now the Secretary of State under Trump!

When the massive oil spill occurred from the oil rigs of Exxon, killing sea life, Tillerson engaged the best legal brains and took help from his friend Vladimir Putin. He came out without a scratch making EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) look toothless.

Now it is easy for Tillerson and Trump to perhaps do even greater damages. Both seem uninterested in the Kyoto Agreement or the issues raised and agreed with at the Paris climatic summit. The Carbon footprint, ozone depletion and climatic vagaries may well take a back seat under the new leadership of the US.

Obama was concerned about the construction of new hydroelectric projects. He was concerned about the e-waste piling up. The fossil fuel depletion was also under his scrutiny. Trump has stated that he will ignore America’s obligations to cut emissions.

But alas the new president is interested in coal, dirty energy, and hydrocracking. He is least bothered about the impacts these would cause to the environment. It seems Trump has the power to abandon the Paris Agreement without seeking congressional approval.

On a lighter note the baseball hat Trump was wearing was made in Bangladesh, and the color was not green but red hot. He announced ‘Be American Buy American.’
