An Asset Disposal Plan is a plan that documents the timing of, and the costs associated with the disposal of assets.  It typically forms part of an Asset Management Plan.

A decision must be made regarding what to do with each and every asset at the end of it’s life

a) Can it be repaired and re-sold

b) Does it need to be disposed of and recycled

In either case the DATA contained within your old IT Assets MUST be deleted to a level where NO ONE will have access to it.

This process must be carried out by a professional company such as Secure Data Recycling and the destruction of the data, must be recorded within the Asset management System.

Secure Data Recycling will then look to get you the best market price for any old IT that has a resale value or they will recycle the old IT equipment avoiding wherever possible the use of landfill sites.
