Firstly it is worth understand that your bank may well text you, but ONLY if they are looking to confirm a transaction on PC!

Bank texts will not, ever, ask you to confirm details, or for passwords in a text.

Banks also won’t update their apps in this way.

If you’re suspicious, don’t click links, don’t call any numbers in the text. Instead, call your bank on its “normal” number

If you get a random TEXT from your bank asking your for information – IT IS A SCAM, how they got your mobile number is another issue, perhaps from an old mobile phone or PC.

Just think have many phones and PC’s contain your mobile number.
