In the BBC News this morning was a segway that showed a Solicitor being taken for a ride by an elaborate scam.

The Solicitor was contacted via telephone and informed that her client account was being hacked and that she needed to money the money to safe accounts.

Perhaps she was naive, but these people are very convincing.

We need to stand back and say why are they so convincing, the simple answer that we probably have all given confidential information to criminals.

Our old Phones, PC’s Tablets, Work PC’s USB Drives, Printers etc all contain valuable information that can help a fraudster seem VERY convincing when they call you on a Vishing Scam.
