WEEE Advisory Body abolished

Back in July the department for business abolished the WEEE advisor board (WAB)

The announcement by business secretary Vince Cable removes the most obvious way for figures involved in the waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) from both the public and private sector to help steer government policy.

It does not mean that WEEE has gone away, far from it, the rules and regulations are getting tougher by the day.

All business’s are responsible for the disposal of old electronic and electrical items.

Our advice is to contact a company such as Secure Data Recycling, a business that has all the relevant accreditations and a long history of dealing with electrical and electronic waste and working within the WEEE guideline.
