WEEE Keeping Records

When you handle your waste Electrical and electronic equipment the Government advises that you need to keep records of:

  • details of testing and repair
  • protocols and weights for reuse
  • input and output records
  • duty of care waste transfer notes
  • weighbridge tickets
  • contracts
  • sampling records
  • input logs
  • invoices
  • treatment types
  • receipts
  • transfer and consignment notes for movement of WEEE and WEEE materials
  • bills of lading or transport documents
  • details of reprocessor treatments and recycling efficiencies

For exported WEEE you will also have:

  • customs documents – including container numbers if used
  • bills of lading
  • shipment details
  • Waste Shipment Regulations documents (such as Annex VII documents) and invoices
  • contracts and records between you and the receiving site
