WEEE Keeping Records
When you handle your waste Electrical and electronic equipment the Government advises that you need to keep records of:
- details of testing and repair
- protocols and weights for reuse
- input and output records
- duty of care waste transfer notes
- weighbridge tickets
- contracts
- sampling records
- input logs
- invoices
- treatment types
- receipts
- transfer and consignment notes for movement of WEEE and WEEE materials
- bills of lading or transport documents
- details of reprocessor treatments and recycling efficiencies
For exported WEEE you will also have:
- customs documents – including container numbers if used
- bills of lading
- shipment details
- Waste Shipment Regulations documents (such as Annex VII documents) and invoices
- contracts and records between you and the receiving site
