A circular economy is defined as an economy where we keep resources in use for as long as possible, extract the maximum value from them whilst in use, then recover and regenerate products and materials at the end of each service life.

The benefits of a circular economy include reducing waste as well as reducing the environmental impact on production and consumption of resources.

Recycling and re-use of old IT Equipment is a good example of the Circular Economy.
